Car Dooring regulation 2012

The result of the Car Dooring Bill inquiry was the following changes to the legistlation for a "Car Dooring" Offence.

Increased penalties:

• • The on-the-spot fine has increased from $141 to $352.

  • The maximum court penalty has increased from $423 to $1,408.

No Demerit Points were introduced for drivers for a car dooring offence.

Bicycle Network Victoria did not support Demerit Points.
